LEARN submitted comments to the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) in response to Director Schneider’s blog post “Better is Good” released on September 15, 2021. LEARN’s response is focused around areas of change Director Schneider discussed in the blog including the inclusion of State educational agencies and local educational agencies in IES-funded research, the diversification of peer review panels and the scaling up of education research. These comments will help guide Director Schneider’s conversations with the National Academies of Sciences (NAS) panel on “The Future of Education Research at IES.”
